The Chiefs opened the season with a convincing 31–10 win over Denver, while the Colts are looking to rebound from a 41–23 loss to Baltimore.

Prediction markets give the Chiefs a clear edge to move to 2–0, but spread and scoring markets are much tighter.

## Quick Brief

Kansas City looked sharp in its opener, beating Denver 31–10 behind a dominant debut from Kenneth Walker III.

The former Seattle running back rushed for a career-high 173 yards and two touchdowns, while Patrick Mahomes threw two touchdown passes in his return from last season's knee injury. Kansas City's defense held Denver to 176 total yards and nine first downs.

Indianapolis had a much rougher start. The Colts lost 41–23 to Baltimore and allowed 463 total yards, including 163 rushing yards and three touchdowns to Derrick Henry. Jonathan Taylor provided the brightest spot offensively, rushing 19 times for 98 yards and two scores.

Kansas City will be without starting left tackle Josh Simmons and defensive back Chamarri Conner. Defensive tackle Chris Jones is questionable with a calf injury, although Andy Reid said Friday he expected Jones to be OK. Indianapolis has ruled out wide receiver Ashton Dulin.

## Trading on Colts vs. Chiefs

The winner market strongly favors Kansas City, but that conviction doesn't fully carry into the supporting contracts. The Chiefs are priced at 71% to win, while their chance of winning by more than 5.5 points sits at 51%. Over 46.5 points is at 48%, and neither team's total points benchmark reaches 50%.

The running game offers a more specific matchup to watch. Walker accounted for 173 of Kansas City's 208 rushing yards against Denver and earned AFC Offensive Player of the Week honors.

Indianapolis now has to deal with him one week after Henry rushed for 163 yards and three touchdowns. The Colts have focused this week on correcting alignment and communication problems that contributed to their defensive breakdowns against Baltimore.

Walker and Taylor are each priced at 60% to reach 70 yards, while their anytime touchdown contracts sit at 62% and 56%, respectively. Taylor nearly reached 100 yards in Week 1 despite Indianapolis playing from behind for much of the afternoon.

The quarterback markets are more restrained. Mahomes is priced at 48% to reach 225 passing yards after throwing for 184 against Denver, while Daniel Jones sits at 41% after passing for 166 yards in the Colts' opener.

Indianapolis took Kansas City to overtime at Arrowhead last November before the Chiefs escaped with a 23–20 win.

## What to watch

- **Can Kansas City create separation?** The Chiefs have a 71% chance of winning, but Kansas City -5.5 is priced almost down the middle at 51%.
- **Another big night for Walker?** After rushing for 173 yards in his Chiefs debut, Walker is priced at 60% to reach 70 yards against a Colts defense that struggled badly against Baltimore's running game.
- **Can Indianapolis establish Taylor?** Taylor produced 121 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns in Week 1\. His 70+ rushing-yard contract is also trading at 60%.
- **How much scoring on Sunday night?** Over 46.5 is priced at 48%, while Kansas City's 27.5-point and Indianapolis' 20.5-point team totals both sit below 50%.
