The Giants and Rams enter Monday Night Football after very different starts. New York beat Dallas 28–20 behind an efficient performance from Jaxson Dart, while Los Angeles managed just seven points in a loss to San Francisco.

Prediction markets still give the Rams a clear edge at home, but the spread, total, and player markets offer a closer look at what traders are pricing for Monday night.

## Quick Brief

New York opened the John Harbaugh era with a 28–20 win over Dallas. Dart completed 23 of 29 passes for 230 yards and three touchdowns, added 54 rushing yards, and finished with a 134.2 passer rating. Cam Skattebo added 81 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries.

The Rams had a much tougher opener in Australia. Los Angeles lost 27–7 to San Francisco after being held scoreless in the second half. Matthew Stafford threw for 155 yards and an interception, while Puka Nacua led the Rams with 74 receiving yards.

Los Angeles will also have a different-looking defense Monday. Myles Garrett was placed on injured reserve after undergoing knee surgery, but Aaron Donald plans to make his return after sitting out the opener. Donald hasn't played a regular-season game since January 2024.

Nacua is questionable with a hip/groin issue after missing the Rams' final two practices of the week. Safety Kamren Kinchens has been ruled out, while receiver Jordan Whittington is doubtful.

## Trading on Giants vs. Rams

Los Angeles has the clear edge in the winner market at 73%, but the supporting contracts are more measured. The Rams' chance of winning by more than 6.5 points sits at 52%, while over 47.5 is priced at 51%.

The market is also pricing a much better night from Stafford after his quiet opener. His contract for 225+ passing yards sits at 60%, with two or more touchdown passes at 62%. Both thresholds would require a step forward from his 155-yard, no-touchdown performance against San Francisco.

Dart presents a different challenge. The second-year quarterback rushed for 54 yards against Dallas in addition to completing 79.3% of his passes. His 30+ rushing-yard contract is priced at 57% for Monday, making his mobility one of the stronger Giants player thresholds on the board.

That could matter against a Rams defense undergoing an immediate adjustment. Garrett is out for at least four games after knee surgery, while Donald is expected to make his first appearance since coming out of retirement. Los Angeles also allowed 174 rushing yards against San Francisco in Week 1.

New York showed it can lean on the ground game, too. Before Dart's three victory-formation kneel-downs, the Giants ran 34 times for 170 yards against Dallas and averaged 5.0 yards per carry.

## What to watch

- **Can the Rams create separation?** Los Angeles has a 73% chance of winning, but the Rams' -6.5 contract is considerably tighter at 52%.
- **Does Stafford rebound?** After throwing for 155 yards in Week 1, Stafford is priced at 60% to reach 225 yards and 62% to throw at least two touchdowns.
- **Can Dart keep stressing defenses with his legs?** He rushed for 54 yards against Dallas, and the market gives him a 57% chance of reaching 30 yards Monday.
- **What does Donald's return change?** The Rams regain one of the defining players of their defense while simultaneously adjusting to Garrett's absence.
