## Quick Brief

Anthony Hernandez and Gregory Rodrigues meet Saturday night in the main event of UFC Fight Night at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento.

Prediction market traders favor Hernandez, giving the No. 6-ranked middleweight a 64% chance of winning compared with 36% for No. 11 Rodrigues. More than $447K has already been traded on Kalshi's fight-winner market.

Hernandez is looking to rebound after having an eight-fight winning streak snapped earlier this year, while Rodrigues arrives in Sacramento riding a three-fight winning streak.

## The Big Picture

Hernandez enters Saturday trying to regain the momentum that carried him up the middleweight rankings.

The 32-year-old had won eight consecutive fights before losing to Sean Strickland in February. Six victories during that streak came inside the distance, helping establish Hernandez as one of the division's leading contenders.

Rodrigues enters with momentum of his own. The Brazilian has won three straight fights, including consecutive first-round knockouts, giving him an opportunity to make another move up the rankings with a victory over Hernandez.

## Reading the Market

The headline market establishes Hernandez as the favorite, but the method-of-victory prices provide a more detailed picture of how traders see the fight unfolding.

Rodrigues by knockout, TKO, or disqualification is priced at 27%, making it the highest individual method-of-victory outcome on Kalshi despite Rodrigues entering as the underdog. His other paths are priced considerably lower, with an 8% chance of winning by decision and 6% by submission.

Hernandez's probabilities are spread much more evenly. Traders give him a 24% chance of winning by knockout, TKO, or disqualification, another 24% by submission, and 17% by decision.

The contrast helps explain the broader 64%-36% split. Traders see several plausible ways for Hernandez to win, while Rodrigues' upset probability is concentrated much more heavily around his ability to finish the fight with strikes.

That fits the fighters' recent results. Hernandez showed multiple ways to win during his eight-fight streak, while Rodrigues enters Saturday having demonstrated the kind of finishing power reflected in the secondary market.

## What to Watch

The central question is whether Hernandez can reestablish himself after February's loss or whether Rodrigues can turn his recent momentum into the biggest win of his current streak.

Rodrigues' power makes the early stages particularly relevant. His last two victories ended in first-round knockouts. Markets clearly recognize an early finish as an important part of his path to an upset.

Hernandez offers a broader challenge. His ability to win fights through striking, submissions, and sustained pressure gives him more potential routes through a five-round main event, which is reflected in the distribution of his method-of-victory prices.

The stakes are clear: the victor becomes a bigger part of the discussion in the middleweight picture. Hernandez enters as the clear favorite. The deeper markets suggest traders aren't dismissing Rodrigues' ability to end the fight quickly.
