Quick Brief

Philadelphia enters Monday night with a 65% chance of remaining undefeated, compared with 35% for Chicago.

Move the threshold to the Eagles winning by more than 3.5 points, however, and the probability drops to 50%. The total is similarly tight, with a 51% chance of the teams combining for more than 41.5 points.

The Eagles have opened 2-0 with a pair of close victories, beating Washington 24-22 before holding off Tennessee 24-20. Jalen Hurts has thrown five touchdown passes without an interception.

Chicago followed a 59-point outburst against Carolina with a 9-3 loss to Minnesota last week. The bigger concern came late, when Caleb Williams suffered a hamstring injury that will keep him out Monday night. Williams has since been diagnosed with a Grade 2 strain, with doctors viewing it as a three-to-four-week injury.

Veteran Case Keenum is expected to start in his place. Tyson Bagent has cleared concussion protocol but is expected to serve as the backup.

Can Chicago's ground game carry the offense?

With Keenum expected to take over, Chicago could lean even more heavily on one of the NFL's most productive rushing attacks.

Chicago enters Week 3 leading the league with 212.5 rushing yards per game. D'Andre Swift has produced 169 yards and three touchdowns, while Kyle Monangai has added 147 yards on only 20 carries.

It's also a matchup with some recent history. Chicago ran for 281 yards in a 24-15 victory over Philadelphia last November.

The market gives Swift a 53% chance to reach 60 rushing yards Monday, with Monangai at 48% to clear 40. Saquon Barkley sits at 53% to reach 70 yards for Philadelphia.

Barkley is available after suffering a stinger on the opening play against Tennessee. He returned but finished with only four carries, while Tank Bigsby handled most of the workload.

Philadelphia will be shorthanded elsewhere. Dallas Goedert, Hollywood Brown, and offensive tackle Fred Johnson have all been ruled out. DeVonta Smith, who missed practice earlier in the week with a hamstring issue, is available.

What to Watch

  • Keenum takes over: The 38-year-old is expected to make his first NFL start since 2023, putting even more importance on Chicago's league-leading rushing attack.
  • The Bears on the ground: Chicago leads the NFL in rushing and ran for 281 yards against Philadelphia last season.
  • Barkley's workload: He is cleared to play after last week's stinger, but Bigsby received 13 carries against Tennessee.
