Falcons vs. Packers Prediction Market: Prices, Props & Thursday Night Football Preview

Green Bay enters Thursday night as the clear favorite over Atlanta, but prediction markets suggest potential for a relatively tight game.

Falcons vs. Packers Prediction Market: Prices, Props & Thursday Night Football Preview

The Packers return to Lambeau Field after a road win on Sunday. The Falcons arrive still searching for their first victory, but with a significant change under center.

Michael Penix Jr. is set to make his season debut for Atlanta. The Thursday Night Football market favors Green Bay outright but sees little separation around the spread or total.

Quick Brief

Green Bay holds a sizable advantage in the winner market at 69%, but traders are considerably less certain the Packers will create much separation.

The Packers -4.5 contract sits at 50%, putting that threshold almost directly at the market midpoint. The total is similarly tight, with 47% on more than 43.5 combined points.

Green Bay enters at 1-1 after rebounding from a season-opening loss to Minnesota with a 20–17 victory over the Jets. Atlanta is 0-2 after a 34–3 loss to Carolina in Week 2.

Penix returns for Atlanta

The biggest change from Atlanta's first two games comes at quarterback. Penix will make his first start since suffering a season-ending ACL injury last November. Cooper Rush started Atlanta's first two games while Penix completed his recovery and Tua Tagovailoa dealt with an oblique injury.

Tagovailoa returned to full practice participation this week and will back up Penix on Thursday night. Through two games, the Atlanta offense has generated just 16 points.

The quarterback markets put both passing-yard thresholds near the midpoint, but show a wider gap on multiple touchdowns. Love is priced at 52% to throw at least two scores, compared with 31% for Penix.

Backfield markets produce one of the more notable contrasts on the board. Bijan Robinson is priced at 48% to reach 80 rushing yards, while Green Bay's MarShawn Lloyd sits at 52% to reach 25.

While Atlanta’s offense has struggled as a whole, Robinson has done his part with 254 combined yards through two games. Collectively, the Packers have gained 129 yards on the ground, with Lloyd accounting for 57 of them.

What to Watch

  • Penix's return: Thursday will provide the first look at Atlanta's offense with Penix starting this season after the Falcons opened 0-2.
  • The 4.5-point threshold: Green Bay is clearly favored to win, but the market gives the Packers essentially a coin flip to win by more than 4.5.
  • Green Bay's injuries: Receiver Jayden Reed and guard Aaron Banks are among four Packers ruled out, while defensive tackles Javon Hargrave and Anthony Campbell are questionable.
  • Atlanta's secondary: Cornerback A.J. Terrell was placed on injured reserve this week, while Billy Bowman Jr. enters Thursday listed as questionable.
