Quick Brief
Monday night's market reflects two teams still trying to establish what they are through the opening month.
New Orleans has produced considerably more offense, averaging 382.7 yards and 27 points per game behind a fast start from Tyler Shough. Atlanta struggled through its first two games before Michael Penix Jr. returned to the lineup and helped the Falcons erupt for 35 points and nearly 500 yards at Green Bay.
The result is one of the week's tightest markets: New Orleans holds only a modest edge in the winner contract, while the spread and total are hovering in coin-flip territory.
Falcons vs. Saints prediction market props
Shough has powered the Saints' offense
New Orleans' 1–2 record hasn't reflected the production of its second-year quarterback.
Shough enters Monday with 917 passing yards, eight touchdowns, and three interceptions while completing 68.9% of his attempts. He has thrown for at least 250 yards and multiple touchdowns in all three games, becoming the first quarterback since Josh Allen in 2022 to open a season with those marks in three straight games.
Last week brought his biggest touchdown performance yet. Shough threw four against Las Vegas, completing 29 of 42 passes for 250 yards, but New Orleans committed four turnovers in a 35–27 loss.
Chris Olave has been his most consistent target. Olave has at least 86 receiving yards in every game and enters Monday with 27 catches for 375 yards. The market gives him a 57% chance to reach 80 yards against Atlanta.
Atlanta's offense changed with Penix back
The Falcons enter New Orleans coming off a radically different offensive performance from their first two weeks.
After missing Atlanta's first two games, Penix returned against Green Bay and recovered from an early interception to complete 17 of his final 20 passes. He finished with 256 yards and a touchdown as the Falcons rolled up nearly 500 yards in a 35–14 victory.
Bijan Robinson and Drake London did most of the damage. Robinson rushed for 194 yards and two touchdowns while finishing with 213 yards from scrimmage. London caught nine passes for a career-high 194 yards.
Robinson now leads the NFL with 467 yards from scrimmage through three games, including 349 on the ground. His 80-yard rushing contract carries the highest probability among the featured Falcons yardage props at 58%.
What to Watch
- Shough's volume: He leads the NFL in pass attempts and completions through three games, giving his passing and receiving markets plenty of opportunity.
- Penix's second start: Atlanta's offense looked completely different with Penix back against Green Bay. Monday provides the first test of whether that performance carries over.
- Saints without Travis Etienne: Etienne was placed on injured reserve with a hamstring injury, leaving Alvin Kamara and Kendre Miller to handle the backfield workload.
- New Orleans' defensive injuries: The Saints have ruled out Kaden Elliss, Carl Granderson, and Anfernee Jennings, while Pete Werner and Noah Fant are questionable.
