Guardians vs. Rays Prediction Market: Pries & Props for ALCS Game 2

Cleveland leads the American League Championship Series after a Game 1 comeback, but Kalshi traders give Tampa Bay the edge in Tuesday's matchup.

Guardians vs. Rays Prediction Market: Pries & Props for ALCS Game 2

The Cleveland Guardians and Tampa Bay Rays meet in Game 2 of the American League Championship Series on Tuesday, October 13. TBS will be on the call at 8 p.m. ET from Tropicana Field.

Cleveland carries a 1–0 series lead after rallying for a 7–3 victory in Monday's opener. Despite the loss, Tampa Bay enters Game 2 as a slight favorite on Kalshi and looking to avoid falling into a 2-0 hole before the series shifts to Cleveland.

Market Snapshot

Kalshi prices as of October 13, 2026, approximately 5:47 a.m. ET.

Despite Cleveland's 7–3 victory in the opener, Kalshi traders still favor Tampa Bay, with the Rays holding a 56% to 44% edge. The market has remained relatively steady since release, suggesting the Guardians' comeback has done little to alter expectations for tonight. Cleveland has an opportunity to take a commanding lead before the ALCS shifts north.

Cleveland Takes Early Control of the ALCS

The Guardians erased a 2–0 deficit Monday, with home runs from Chase DeLauter and Patrick Bailey bringing Cleveland level before Nathaniel Lowe delivered a go-ahead two-run single in the eighth inning.

Cleveland finished with 14 hits in the 7–3 victory, continuing a postseason run that included three consecutive elimination-game wins against the Chicago White Sox in the ALDS.

The victory gives the Guardians an opportunity to leave Tampa Bay with a commanding 2–0 series lead. For Tampa Bay, Game 2 is an opportunity to even the series and avoid heading to Cleveland in a 0–2 hole.

Tampa Bay entered the ALCS after winning 98 regular-season games and sweeping the New York Yankees in the Division Series. Monday's defeat was its first loss of the postseason.

Peralta vs. Messick: Game 2 Pitching Matchup

Tampa Bay will turn to Freddy Peralta, who has been one of its most effective starters since arriving from the Mets at the trade deadline. The veteran right-hander posted a 3.25 ERA in 10 starts with the Rays, including a dominant September in which he went 4–0 with a 0.96 ERA.

Cleveland counters with rookie left-hander Parker Messick, who has been particularly effective against Tampa Bay. Messick owns a 1.03 ERA in four career starts against the Rays, including 7 2/3 innings of one-run ball at Tropicana Field in July.

The contrast extends to the strikeout markets. Kalshi gives Messick a 54% chance of recording at least five strikeouts, compared with 34% for Peralta. Messick has recorded 11 strikeouts in two postseason starts, although neither outing lasted beyond four innings.

After Cleveland scored five runs against Tampa Bay's bullpen in Game 1, the Rays will be looking for Peralta to work deeper into Tuesday's matchup.

Guardians vs. Rays Prediction Market Props

The Bottom Line

Cleveland has the early advantage in the ALCS, but Tampa Bay remains favored to win Game 2. The Rays have an opportunity to level the series, while the Guardians can put themselves two victories away from the World Series with a win. The immediate question is whether Tampa Bay can respond or whether Cleveland's postseason momentum carries over.
